The "I Walk in Europe", planned and completed, under the LEADER + transnational cooperation has developed an action strategy aimed at enhancing integrated tourist areas crossed by the main European Cultural Routes - Camino de Santiago and Via Francigena .
The goal is pursued through a strategy, integrated and joint consists of actions and interventions designed to promote and international territories involved and the marketing of their services to tourists as well as many local products.
In keeping with a previous cooperation project Leader II, the project has aimed to strengthen cooperation network opening to other Local Action Groups, Agencies and Institutions in the areas crossed by the two routes and which today are 5 European countries: Italy, Spain , France, Portugal and Sweden.
Many of the results obtained and who favored a strong involvement of local people through the exchange of experiences in cultural and social institutions through the sharing of protocols for cooperation and the launch of twinning between municipalities, and business and cultural needs of different territories involved. A trail work will continue over time and lead to the expansion of opportunities for meeting and sharing experiences of economic, cultural and social structures of many of the peoples of the European Union
